From it sprang Carlyle Works, which revolutionised the provision of high-frequency minibuses - or breadvans as they became known from their generic beginnings. |

Midland Red was closely allied with Black & White for half-a-century. Indeed, it had a part share in its ownership from the 1930s onwards.
To mark 2007, I have created a separate gallery for this unique (and much loved) coach company that was the backbone of the Associated Motorways network.
