798 (WNO 557L)was acquired from Eastern National in 1988. It had been that company's 1708, and served for a short time with Westcliffe-on-Sea before its acquisition. Midland Red North sold it the year following this picture, to the Salvation Army in Leicester.

1502 (ANA 91Y) was a Leyland pSU5E.4R with ECW C53F bodywork which ran in Hotspur livery from October 1983 to December 1984. It was new to National Travel West as its 91, but only ran with them for six months. Its appearance was better suited to local express work.

1711 (NCN 971L) and Green Line APM 113T. The Leyland National was ex-Northern 4472. It is seen midway through its conversion from a battered two-door LN to a functioning single-door version which would run for Midland Red North for two years, mainly as a 55-seater with 3+2 seating for school work. The rebuild was in Carlyle Works. The reseating was carried out by Reeve Burgess.

1713 (TPC 103X) was a former ECW-bodied Leyland Tiger coach of London Country (TL 3), here seen after it was rebodied for Midland Red by East Lancs in 1989 as DP49F

1714 (OCN 234L) as received from Northern (4488). Its condition was so serious it was scrapped.

1714 (OCN 234L) at Carlyle Works. It had been converted to front entrance from dual-doorway layout by Northern General in 1978, but by the time it was acquired by Midland Red North in 1984 it was in a badly corrdoed state, and was sold for scrap without re-entering service.

1714 (OCN 234L), ex Northern 4488. was too seriously corroded to be of capable of further use after 11 years.
